Holy Places of the Lord and the Holy Places Quiz Game are independent apps created by Derek S. Cordon. This policy explains what information stays on your device and what is sent elsewhere if you choose to use optional features.

Information on your device

Your visits, notes, photos, ordinances, goals, profiles, and settings are stored on your device (and in any backups you make, such as iCloud Backup). I do not receive that personal history unless you choose to share it yourself.

Place details in the app (temple names, addresses, photos, and similar reference data) are downloaded from my website so the list can stay current. That download does not include your visit history.

Location

If you allow Location access, it is used on your device to show nearby places and, if you enable them, visit reminders when you leave a holy place. Your device location is not sent to my servers.

Celebration Board

Posting to the public Celebration Board is optional. If you post an eligible achievement, the app sends the following to my website so it can be shown on the board:

• The name and location you enter
• The achievement title, details, date, and place
• The list of places included in that achievement
• A profile identifier used only to associate the post with your app profile

That information is visible to anyone who visits the Celebration Board. I do not sell it or use it for advertising. To request removal of a post, email dacmann@icloud.com.

Sharing and email

If you share an achievement image, app link, or promotional PDF, that goes through the share options you choose on your device (for example Messages or Mail). I do not receive those shares.

If you email me for support, your message may include the device model and app and data version numbers the app adds to help with troubleshooting.

What I don’t do

I don’t sell your information, show ads, or use tracking to follow you across other apps and websites.
